Note from Lea Ann, as dictated to Debbie and posted by Nikki:
I finally got a chance and the energy to check the blog. I can't say how much I appreciate the thoughts and prayers from friends, new and old. I keep saying it just takes a stroke to realize how loved you are. I'm getting stronger everyday and the cards and flowers mean so much. My attitude stays positive as I see small improvements everyday. I even walked 30 steps with a hemi-walker the other day. I couldn't ask to be in a better hospital with better therapists. Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers because I can truly say they have helped me get as far as I have. Gotta go--I'm getting tired. It takes all the energy I have to focus for a little while as my attention span has been affected. Love Lea Ann

Hi Lea Ann - What a good feeling to know that you are progressing each and every day!
Crystal has kept us posted at Gabriel Group and it looks like from your blog you are getting better everyday. Keep up the hard work.
I think I remember that Jake gave you a Cardinal jersey a while back - maybe he can bring that in today in honor of Opening Day.
Keep smiling and pushing on!
Chrissy
Lea Ann,
Glad to hear that you're making progress every day. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Give Dr. Heuser our best, maybe even a kiss or two.
Love,
Julie and Daryl Hercules
Lea--
I'm even more impressed by your abilities!
Keep up the good work and, even more importantly, your strength!
Rooting for you,
Dawn and Fam
Dear Lea Ann,
I can't tell you how happy I am to have found (with the help of Dianne!) this venue for communicating with you. I still can't believe you are going through this, but as I told Jake (and as I know you know), things happen for a reason. If anyone is going to get through this and make a full recovery, you are. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers daily. It sounds like you are doing great! Before you know it, you will be back on your feet permanently and training for another race! Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress.
Much love,
Katie
Hey,sounds like you are going great guns!! Super job!! Loved all the pics - We had a good laugh over the flowers from your 1st grade teacher. I know my first grade teacher Sr. Laurencia (we called her squally cause she would peel out when she drove)would NEVER send me flowers. You must be a better charmer than me! Somehow that isn't surprising! Love Diane

I am so overjoyed to hear how well you are doing. You have been in my thoughts and prayers everyday. You know you really gave us a scare!! I knew in my heart you would pull through this. You are one of the strongest people I have ever met. Keep up the wonderful progress.
Love,
Cassy Jones (Pendergrass)
Hey Lea Ann :) Sounds like you're doing great!
Jeremiah and I will be making a long 24 hour trip home from New York on May 12th....so my advice is that you get your butt out of the hospital quick so we can bum a night at your place ;) haha.
Much Love <3

Dear Godmother,
I'm hoping that you will get better soon with your walking. I've been having fun at school and tomorrow is a field trip to Christopher's Pizza... in Concord, of course. I'm in softball and I have a game tomorrow. My team's name is the Lady Hawks. I'm number 8. I'm missing you very much. I wish I could go see you and help you walk.
Love,
Sheridan
(P.S. My nickname is Goosetape.)
