She's Goin' Home!

They are releasing her next Friday, April 11th! That means our Over-Achiever will only have been in the hospital 22 days! Must be a record! She graduated to an "ol' lady cane" she said, and only has to use it for stability when she gets fatigued. They have taken her on some outings and to her house to help her ease back into her world and point out potential problems. They have also reduced her seizure and headache meds. She's in good spirits and anxious to go home. She's so thankful for everyone's prayers and encouraging words and hopes to thank everyone in person soon.

Yahoo!!!! I'm sure that you are SO excited about getting home! Gosh, what will I do --- I keep your blog up on my computer all the time so it gives me something to do all day (don't tell my boss! ;P ) Really we are so happy for you and Jake. People keep saying how amazed they are at your accomplishments -- we aren't surprised cause we know what a fighter and go-getter you are... maybe the baccardi helped! Again, Congrats! Love Diane, John, Em and Luke

Lea Ann,

I am so happy that you are progressing well. You rock girl! By the way, Jane Stacy announced her retirement finally and the Director - Alumni Services job is open. I expect you to log onto iAMsoutheast and apply for the job. We will find something for Jake to do. You are the one we want for the job. Hey, I have an idea we can have you in the lead car in the Homecoming Parade on Broadway. You better practice your Miss America wave.

Hurry up and get better fast.

Bill

Friga,
Lookin’ good girl. I knew nothing could slow down those elbows for too terribly long. You’re in my thoughts and I am pulling for you. Heidi is on a fishing boat in Alaska so won’t be writing in but I know her and Rebekah (and any girl we ever played ball against) would agree with me about the elbows. Take care and just keep in mind that you really have an amazing soul to have overcome this so quickly. Maybe we can catch up sometime down the road…
